Ndani — Mac Desktop Pilot
Plain-language summary
- Your Mac is the default home for your data.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use tracking pixels.
- We do not run analytics SDKs.
- Anything sent outside your device only happens when you explicitly approve it.
- You can revoke permissions, delete local data, and uninstall at any time.
What stays on your device
Ndani stores locally: preferences, permission choices, local memory, cached model files, and any files you explicitly allow access to.
This data stays on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
What leaves your device
Nothing, unless you approve:
- Sending a message through a communication app you chose
- Opening or reading a website through the browser tool
- Using an external AI model you enabled
- Installing from the Mac App Store
- Downloading a local model package you selected
- Checking for software updates when you choose to do so
No telemetry
We do not collect usage analytics, ad identifiers, background behavioral tracking, device fingerprints, third-party analytics, or session replay data.
Permissions
Ndani may ask for: file access, model storage, browser access, and notifications. Each is scoped, revocable, and visible in settings.
Security
We aim to encrypt local data at rest, avoid plaintext secrets, keep permissions explicit, show what the app touched, and allow revocation and uninstall.
